  1. well it depends on the cause of headache.if it’s pathological(due to an illness)then u can’t rid of it without medications.
if it’s physiological like due to tiring or not having enough sleep then u get rid of it by sleeping.
if due to low glucose level u need to eat sth sugary.
if it’s due to stress u need to relax and forget about what makes u think a lot.

  2. Look into head massages. My friends mom would massage my head, she took classes, when I’d get headaches and they’d go away.

  3. if it’s migraine, shut your eyes for a while then open but stay in low lights
if it’s anything else, try taking a hot shower, or exercise, exercise till you sweat….that’s very helpful

  4. Yes the warm bath does sound good and a nice neck and back massage would probably work well too. Surprisingly too is a good foot massage ,it makes my gf feel good all over. It usually puts her to sleep.

  5. it can help if you know the source. if its stress/worry, is there anything you can do easily/quickly about the situation causing it? or even a small step that you can take (write draft of letter, etc)..

with the knowledge that you have done what you can for now, sit quietly and forgive yourself, accept that there is no other thing to be done now. close eyes and turn inward, breathe easily, slowly, deeply. release all thoughts -don’t fight them or supress them, just stop feeding them and let them run down like a wind up toy whose spring is running out. (sometimes it helps to have something else to focus on, a word repeated, or a happy calm image) .
go through your body from one end to other, and release muscles, tension, one by one. when your body and mind are in stillness, if the pain is still there, find it and define. give it shape, color, texture. see it as a solid, real object. hold that image for a moment – again, not fighting squeezing etc. just aware.

another approach, if its still there, is to picture the exact opposite of the pain-thing – if its hot and dry, conjure something wet and freezing cold, very big – an iceburg, glacier. picture yourself floating through that object, merging with it, all its charcteristics overwhelming your own, quenching transforming the pain-thing.

these sorts of methods work. I’ve used them while getting a nipple pierced, for a headache, muscle problems and various other things.

  6. Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
    meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
