If you are looking for something that you can go get at the store, try Excedrin. It contains aspirin, Tylenol(acetaminophen) and caffeine, and it works really well for headaches. Some stores have been having a shortage of Excedrin, but most chain drugstores and large supermarkets will have a store brand that works just as well as the name brand. Look for a label that says “compare to Excedrin”, or look for those three ingredients– aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine. That should help.

Fioricet Medication May Provide Great Relief for Chronic Headache Sufferers

Each year, there is an estimated eight million people seeking consultation with their physician in an attempt to alleviate headache pain.

Fioricet Chemical Structure

About 45 million Americans experience chronic headaches. The majority of these people turn to over-the-counter medication to relieve their headaches. For severe tension and migraine headaches, these medications often do not do the trick. Before giving up altogether on headache relief, you might try Fioricet medication first.

Fioricet is an exceptional headache medication because it combines three ingredients which, when combined, offer an incredible source of headache relief. These three active ingredients are butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine. Butalbital is a barbiturate, which is know to create a feeling of relaxation within the body. Acetaminophen increases the body’s pain threshold. Everyone is familiar with caffeine and many of us take in caffeine daily through coffee, tea, or soda. It works to reduce blood vessels back to their normal size. This greatly reduces the risk of nerve aggravation caused by swollen blood vessels. The benefits of these three drugs are augmented when combined with one another. This is why Fioricet often works when other medications fail to ease headache pain. Most over-the-counter medications just aren’t strong enough to deal with severe tension and migraine headaches.

Fioricet medication is easy to purchase online or from a pharmacy. A prescription is necessary and can easily be obtained from your doctor or through a licensed online pharmacy. Such a pharmacy will need to have a doctor on board who will be able to provide a prescription.

A doctor will have the ability to answer any questions or concerns you may have about Fioricet. They will be able to determine whether or not Fioricet is a safe option for you, and will provide additional instructions on the administration of this medication. Typically, one tablet of Fioricet is to be taken every four hours as needed. It is advised not to take more than six tablets in one day. The barbiturate in this medication has a tendency to cause drowsiness. It is important to avoid driving or using heavy machinery while taking Fioricet. This medication can provide excellent headache relief and is safe to take as long as directions are carefully followed.

Fioricet medication will help you to sit back and relax while your headache tension is released. It is likely to help you get on with your daily life.

Fioricet Drug Interactions

Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines may be used together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. When you are taking this medicine, it is especially important that your healthcare professional know if you are taking any of the medicines listed below. The following interactions have been selected on the basis of their potential significance and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Using this medicine with any of the following medicines is usually not recommended, but may be required in some cases. If both medicines are prescribed together, your doctor may change the dose or how often you use one or both of the medicines.

fioricet? or Imitrex?

Actually the best one is the one you find to take your migraine away. Everyone is different…Imitrex is good. My wife uses Maxalt. Firoicet is old…prob. not the best choice. There are someother newer ones as well. Make sure you have a complete evaluation of your All kinds of Headache before being prescribed migraine drug. even though your doctor doesn’t order a Ct scan (at least)…go somewhere else.

Can someone identify this headache and suggest some natural cures?

Can someone identify this headache and suggest some natural cures?
My uncle had a persistent headache at the top of his head. Massaging makes it worse. He had it after hearing about an emotional trauma.
Can someone please tell me what the headache might be and the natural ways in which we can cure the headache?
Thanks.

Any persistent headache should be discussed with your doctor. Its always better to rule out underlying causes than to assume anything.

Once the doctor has ruled out anything which requires treatment, drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding alcohol and caffeine, plenty of sleep, gentle exercise – they can all help reduce the effects of such a headache. If he feels stressed, Rescue Remedy is a natural product that just needs a few drops to have a calming effect.

But see the doctor first.

What causes a constant headache encompassing entire head. Has lasted about 8 months?
I have had a constant headache, every day, all day, for about 8 months. If I lean over it feels like someone hit me with a club on the forehead. At times the headache becomes more severe and then tapers off. Have had CT, MRI, CT angio, all negative. Have tried numerous medications both prescription and OTC without any success. Do not have blurred vision. Do have hay fever type allergies.

She ought to go to the doctor… it sounds like she may have suffered a concussion. It’s really best to get it checked out, as it can lead to other problems down the road if not treated.

I used to have bad migraines also. I have been using breathing exercises and started seeing a Chiropractor. Also went the healthy route! Drinking a health food juice that has been a big help. I think the key for me was blood circulation. Doc says I have pinched blood vessels that cuts off blood circulation to my brain therefore causing the headache. He showed me that my gums were real pale in color. After the adjustment they were pink again! Lack of blood to the head! Amazing! Hope you feel better soon!

a warm compress will actually help his headache.Cold will only make it worse. You want to open up the blood vessels.Make sure it is not too hot.Give some Tylenol if he has not ingested alcohol or any other medications, and tell hime to rest.If temp starts to get higher meaning over 101.0 then he needs to be taken to the hospital
