Can migraine headaches make someone permanently blind?

Can migraine headaches make someone permanently blind?
I suffer regularly from migraine headaches with aura (I go blind for about twenty minutes and then my vision returns when the headache starts..) I’ve just been googling migraine on the intenret and have read that it can make someone permenantly blind, and can increase the risk of strokes and coma. Is this true? I’m panicking now because I suffer from migraines at least twice a week.

Well, you should have went to the emergency room when this occurred.I’m speaking about going blind for a total of 20 minutes.
I know that if I had a migraine(which I have),and went totally blind for any amount of time…I would clearly go directly to the emergency room…every time that would happen.
And,seeing how you have this happen 2 times a week, and go blind 2 times a week….surly you see your doctor,or go right to the emergency room when this occurs.
This is my advice to you. When this happens…go directly to the emergency room to be evaluated as soon as possible.And,also….see your doctor in reference to going blind every time you have a migraine…2 times a week.

How to know am having a normal Headache or Migraine? What is the different? How to cure it?

How to know am having a normal Headache or Migraine? What is the different? How to cure it?
I always have problem in knowing whether I have a Migraine or just an ordinary Headache. Obviously, I always have a bad headache that can last for about 2 to 5 days. Ordinary drug such as Paracetamol (500mg x 2) is not really effective for me. It makes me taking another strong drug such as Ponstan (500mg) to reduce my headache. However, the painkiller could not last long, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I just think that my headache become worst in some way that sometimes Ponstan no more effective for me and force me to take another drug such as Sonap (275mg) which is usually used for Migraine. It is mean that am having a Migraine or we have some level of Headaches?

I hate spam answers like your other two answers. It does sound like a migraine. If you don’t have a caffeine sensitivity, go get some Excedrin Migraine, it works pretty good. Take it as directed and lie down in a dark quiet room. If you fall asleep that’s fine, if the headache doesn’t ease up after two hours take another dose and continue to lie down. If by tomorrow you are still having the headache seeing a doctor wouldn’t hurt, they can give you stronger migraine specific medication. The Excedrin always helps my husband who gets them really bad, he gets numbness along with pain. I get menstrual migraines that have to be treated with a prescription medication called Frova, it’s designed for those types of migraines. I hope you feel better, and I hope I could be of some help.

If you missed school, you missed school, regardless for what reason. So there isnt anything you can do so they dont count it against you.

If this is something that is happening frequently through out the year, I recommend homeschooling. Especially if you need to be in a quiet and dark place, like your home.

Sorry. 🙁

Can a chiropractor really help resolve migraine headaches?

Can a chiropractor really help resolve migraine headaches?
My wife has had migraine headaches for 30 years. Maxalt pills are what help her, but it only lessens the pain, and it makes her very woozy and with no energy. Would it be worth it to go see a chiropractor to see if they can find a pinched nerve or something? Thanks!

Dab a bit of peppermint oil on your forehead. The oil can cause skin irritation if used in excess, so just dab a little. It’s pretty effective for migraines.
